Cops seek witnesses to fatal collision

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a man died in a collision in Dagenham.

Police were called by the London Ambulance Service at 4.50pm on Friday, 29 April, to reports of a motorbike in collision with a minibus on Wood Lane, at the junction with Boxoll Road in Dagenham.

Officers attended. The male pillion passenger, believed to be aged in his 20s, was pronounced dead at the scene. Next of kin have been informed. A post-mortem examination will be held in due course.

The male rider, also aged in his 20s, was taken by LAS to an east London hospital where he remains in a stable condition. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Detectives from the Met’s Roads and Transport Policing Command are investigating. The driver of the minibus stopped at the scene.
